This picture was taken in March 04.We were with Alf Burgus,who was the fireman on the train in Brief Encounter in 1945. Alf now in his Eighties is a true gentleman,he told us about some of the experiences he had whilst filming. One of which was inviting Celia Johnson on to the foot plate,lucky lad.

This picture was taken in 2003. The lady is Margaret Barton,who played Beryl Walters in the film. Margaret arrived at Carnforth on the Friday,for the opening of the new Refreshment Room. Unfortunately we arrived on the Saturday and missed her.Hopefully, one day we might meet her, and get a photo taken with her at Carnforth.Fingers crossed.

Our final picture came from an unusual request.Could we go to Carnforth and suprise someone who was mad about Brief Encounter.It was his birthday and we were to bring the cake into the refreshment room.It was great to see the look on his face.Photo's were taken and as the party was leaving we gave him the framed photograph that you see.The same day we received an e-mail thanking us,and saying how much he had enjoyed us being there.We had a great time our selves.As we were waiting for the birthday party to arrive a coach party came in and thought we were there to meet and greet them. We explained that we were here for a private party,and happily posed for photographs.We were surprised at how delighted people seemed to be to see us there.We thought what a great idea it would be to meet and greet people on the station.If anyone would like to hire us we are available!!!.
